~~About the Blogger~~

Alicia is fifteen and lives in Chicago.  Her favorite neighborhood in Chicago is Wicker Park.  She attends Lincoln Park High School and is going to be a sophomore in the 2012-2013 school year.  Alicia was looking for an interesting summer job, where she could write, and get paid at the same time, so she joined Girl World 2.0.  Cause writing and making money are two of her favorite things.  Some of her other favorite things are listening to music, especially Weezer, practicing her nearly perfect southern accent, and reading.  Some things that Alicia are passionate about, are teen eating disorders, cause shes seen first hand how intensely people are affected by eating disorders, and situations in which children are used as pawns in dangerous games, like the Falling Whistles in Uganda.

  1. What's the secret to perfecting a southern accent? I always end up sounding Irish when I try to speak in a southern accent...

    1. Put an emphasis on your vowels, and throw in lots of sassy terms. Call everyone Sweet thang, and talk endlessly about being hot as a hot pocket. Lots of southern terminology is more important than the actualy speaking, because you'll find that when you throw in all of those terms, your accent will automatically improve. Also, there are lots of videos on youtube that are very helpful!
