I wonder what the world would be like without people on earth.
I hear gunshots at the middle of the night.
I see the bodies laying on the ground dead.
I want the violence to end.
I am pretty and outgoing.
I pretend that I am not hurting.
I feel like I lost the people I love to gun violence.
I touch the face of my love ones.
I cry when i look on facebook and twitter it say R.I.P lil eddie and henry.
I am pretty and outgoing.
I understand that everybody's not perfect.
I say let stop the violence and bring in the peace.
I dream I will wake up to a peaceful world.
I try to keep myself out of trouble.
I hope the violence decrease.

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful poem... about a really tough, ugly subject. I think you did a really good job capturing it. Violence in our community can be incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating... and no one should have to feel that pain.
It's important to talk about it, to remember, and to "understand that everybody's not perfect." Nice job. Thanks for sharing your work!
