What I Believe
My beliefs were changed when I was younger and believed in the toothfairy. I used to stick my tooth under my pillow and my mom would put money under my pillow at night. All my hopes of the toothfairy being real vanished when I didn't get any money one night for my tooth. The next morning I explained the situation to my mom and and she admitted that she put money under my pillow whenever i lost a tooth and she apologized for foregetting. I finally realized that the toothfairy was never real.

For me, it was Santa. What was fun learning about that, though, was watching the adults trying to keep up pretends for the little kids. One time my parents almost slipped and called "Santa" by our neighbor's first name (he played Santa, and was someone we all knew). Of course the little kids were so crazed that the slip up wasn't even noticed, but for the adults, the idea of ruining the magic was a tragic notion. :)
