Thoughts On the Hip-Hop documentary
I believe that the documentary we watched on Hip-Hop and men is true. I beieve its true because men now adays are taught to be "men". The definition of a man is to be strong, have power, be rich, have women, be in control, etc. Therefore this places men in a box where their not allowed to express themselves because of what they were taught. Most of these ideas of being a man is greatly influenced through Hip-Hop. As you see and hear in many of our music is rappers talking about sex, money, drug, and power. Since teenagers now adays are so influenced by the music this is what they follow and think is a man. So I strongly believe that the documentary is important because it helps young men become of these things early so they will know that thats not what a man is made up of.

Great Post, Eleasa! For anyone curious about the name of the documentary, and wants to watch it in the future or share with others, the name is Beyond Beats and Rhymes by Byron Hurt.
