Hate Crimes:
What Is the Latest percentage of hate crime in Chicago reported as hate crimes I think that hate crime reported by the Chicago police department remained constant between 2007 and 2008. In 2008 I figured out that 49% from the average for previous 10 years. My opinion and what they have under reported I think I am inherently unjust to punish certain crimes more harshly that others simply because the victim is a member of special chosen group. It means those who are not considered special and contrary to idea that laws could apply equally to everyone. I think a person that is decide what is gang related murder in a hate crime by violence with a racial motivation is consider a hate crime but is different does it make when hate crime someone just because of their color. I think we can criminalize action, but to add time for having “Unpopular” thoughts.
My Audience Is going To be The People That Will Read My Post As I Post Up The Blog And Who Ever Read It Will. So My Audience Is Basically World Wide For Everyone To See And View My Blog. How Will Hate Crime Affect Local Communities? Hate Crime Are Committed with intent but only of sending a message to target victim, but also to the community as a whole. The damage done to victims and community through hate crime cannot be qualified an adequately only consider physical and injury. Why I Care About Hate crime is because a lot of innocent people are dying because most people go after people that is so innocent and most people does not know what hate crime are and what causes them in a situation.
Why Do Hate Crime Happen? It think hate crime happen because often occur as a result of prejudice and ignorance of a lack of understanding about differences among people and their tradition contributes to fear and intolerance. Concern from other that they might have is that I think the laws are fair. A hate crime is more serious than a conventional crime because it abuses more than the immediate victim. When a criminal act is based on factors such as a victim's race, gender, sexual orientation or religion, it takes on some of the characteristics of a terrorist act. The victim and the perpetrator are typically strangers.
Are Hate Crime Increasing or Decreasing? I think it is difficult to tell if hate crime are on the rise or on the decline. On the other hand reporting hate crime is voluntary action taken by states. How many community members that can help I think who ever feel that they can help and get together and try to make it a better environment can help but people have to be able to want the need to help the state about hate crime and maybe they can figure out what really causes hate crime and what is the purpose hate crime happen.
In Conclusion although these publicly available but long ignored facts are incendiary the purpose of this article is certainly not to stir up even more racial animosity there already too much as it is but how can we ever know. So know I have to ask what is hate crime? So know I think that hate crime are crimes that are crime committed against individuals or group or property based on the real or perceived race, religion, gender and sexual orientation disability national origin or ethnicity of victims. The role played by these personal characteristics in motivating the offender is the key different between hate crime and other types of crime.
Hate crimes are criminal acts--such as vandalism, assault, or murder--committed against someone because of his or her race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, age, or gender. In a hate crime, the person is selected because of a characteristic that he or she cannot change. Hate incidents are actions motivated by prejudice that aren't necessarily crimes, but are harmful nonetheless.
Distinguishing between what is legal and illegal can be confusing. Why? Because we also know that our Constitution protects our freedom of speech, expression, and thought. No one wants to punish people for their beliefs or for what they say. But we do want to ensure the civil rights of all individuals and punish behavior that violates these rights. Hate incidents involve behaviors that, though motivated by bias against a victim's race, religion, ethnic/national origin, gender, age, are not necessarily criminal acts. Hostile or hateful speech, for example may be motivated by bias but is not illegal. They become crimes only when they directly incite perpetrators to commit violence against persons or property, or if they place a victim in reasonable fear of physical injury. Officers should thoroughly document evidence in all bias-motivated incidents. Law enforcement can help to defuse potentially dangerous situations and prevent bias-motivated criminal behavior by responding to and documenting bias-motivated speech or behavior even if it does not rise to the level of a criminal offense. When a hate crime or bias related incident occurs, many individual's and group's feelings of fear, outrage or alienation are intensified. When this happens it is important that the victims know what type of resources.
