- A hate crime is a crime perpetrated by a person with an animus towards another person or persons for no other reason than the fact that the victim(s)
- crime belong to a segment of society of which the perpetrator does not approve. These segments of society could be race, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability, etc
- Most people would probably say the most affected person of a hate crime is the intended victim. Certainly, the target of a hate crime is certainly traumatized, emotionally, mentally, and perhaps even physically if violence was involved.
- Hate Crime often occur as a result of prejudice and ignorance a look of understanding about different among people and their tradition contributes to fear and intolerance.
This Will help My Topic Because My Article By giving people a way to restore the crime rates. There are way too many crime rates that happen that mostly people might be concern about crime rates.

ReplyDeleteThis is good. I think people often misunderstand hate crime, or don't always connect a crime with a hate crime.
Some things that I think that you can also include in your major blog post are:
-- what percentage of crimes in Chicago were reported as hate crimes. What is your opinion? Do you think they were under-reported?
Also, what other types of crime are there? For instance, how can a person decide what is a gang-related murder and a hate crime?
Also, what kind of hope is there? How can we bring the number of hate crimes down?
